Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

Hanoi serves as the starting point for your Indochina adventure. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly greeted by our private Vietnam tour guide and driver, who will accompany you as you begin your Vietnam holiday in this captivating city. Hanoi seamlessly combines the charm of old Asia with the vibrant energy of the modern era, where medieval heritage coexists with contemporary life. Known for its unique blend of Parisian elegance and Asian vibrancy, this city is an architectural treasure, evolving gracefully in sync with its history rather than rushing through it like many other capitals in the region. Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B, L)
You will be picked up from your hotel to start the second day of the 15-days Vietnam-Cambodia tours package. The day starts with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his former residence, the One Pillar Pagoda, and Quan Thanh Temple. Following this, you’ll explore the Temple of Literature. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before taking a scenic rickshaw ride through the bustling 36 streets of the Old Quarter and around Hoan Kiem Lake. Conclude the day with a visit to Ngoc Son Temple before returning to your hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)
The Halong tour is often considered the most breathtaking experience during any Vietnam holiday. The journey begins at 8:00 A.M. with a 3-hour drive (170 km) through the scenic Red River Delta, offering numerous photo opportunities of Vietnamese farmers working in lush green rice fields. Midway, we’ll stop at a handicraft workshop showcasing exquisite items such as fine textiles, embroidered artwork, stone carvings, and a variety of gemstones mined in Vietnam, including star rubies and sapphires. Our final destination is the renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay, home to approximately 3,000 towering islands and islets scattered across the Gulf of Tonkin in the East Vietnam Sea.
Upon arrival, you’ll board our luxurious junk and be greeted with wine and a feast of fresh local seafood. As the junk cruises deeper into the serene beauty of Ha Long Bay, surrounded by majestic limestone cliffs and emerald waters, you’ll enjoy a perfect blend of exquisite wine and the bay’s refreshing ambiance. Along the journey, we’ll make stops to explore the stunning Sung Sot Cave and relax on the pristine white sands of Ti Top Beach. The day concludes with the junk anchoring for the night, allowing you to spend a peaceful evening amidst the untouched beauty of Ha Long Bay. Overnight on board.
Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Flight to Hue (B, L)
No Vietnam tour is truly complete without visiting Ha Long Bay and spending a night aboard a romantic Ha Long cruise. Often described as majestic, mysterious, and awe-inspiring, Ha Long Bay is a natural masterpiece of towering limestone sculptures shaped by nature’s hand—words alone cannot fully capture its beauty.
After breakfast, we’ll board a small sampan to explore a hidden lagoon as the surrounding mountains slowly come to life in the morning light. Following this, our cruise continues deeper into Bai Tu Long Bay, passing unique formations like Human Head Island, Turtle Island, and Duck Islet. We’ll also visit the iconic filming location of the renowned movie Indochine. Around noon, our junk returns to the harbor, where we’ll disembark and drive back to Hanoi. From there, you’ll transfer to Hanoi Airport for your afternoon flight to Hue. Upon arrival in Hue, you’ll be picked up and taken to your hotel, with the evening free for leisure. Overnight stay in Hue.
Day 5: Hue City Tour (B, L)
You will be picked up from your hotel to begin the fifth day of the Vietnam-Cambodia tour. The day starts with a serene dragon boat ride along the Perfume River, with a stop to visit the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda. Next, we’ll head to Hue Imperial City to explore its historic grandeur. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit two remarkable sites: Tu Duc Tomb and Khai Dinh Tomb. Afterward, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel, where you can spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight stay in Hue.
Day 6: Hue to Hoi An (B, L)
You’ll be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Hoi An. Along the way, enjoy a stop at Lap An Lagoon and marvel at the scenic views from Hai Van Pass. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
Afterward, visit the Marble Mountains, a renowned spiritual site featuring caves, tunnels, and sacred pagodas nestled within the mountains. Take time to explore the area and admire the stunning panoramic views of Da Nang city and My Khe Beach from the summit. Finally, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Hoi An, concluding the sixth day of the Vietnam-Cambodia tour. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 7: Bay May Coconut Forest and Hoi An Walking Tour (B, L)
Pick you up at your hotel and driven to the Bay Mau water coconut forest, where you’ll experience a unique round boat (coracle) ride and try your hand at crab fishing. Next, enjoy a boat trip along the Thu Bon River to Hoi An Ancient Town. Lunch will be served in the heart of the town.
In the afternoon, we’ll explore Hoi An’s historic sites, including the bustling Hoi An market, the Fujien Chinese temple, Tan Ky ancient house, and the famous Japanese Covered Bridge. There will also be time for shopping. Afterward, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Hoi An, with the evening free for you to enjoy dinner on your own. Overnight stay in Hoi An.
Day 8: Hoi An – Da Nang – Flight to Ho Chi Minh (B, L)
After breakfast, your Vietnam tour guide and driver in Hoi An will transfer you to Da Nang International Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport, you will be greeted by our private guide and driver and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Ho Chi Minh City, the vibrant economic hub of Vietnam, is not only a center of commerce but also a city rich in history and culture. With its impressive pagodas, museums, historic buildings, parks, and boulevards, it offers one of the most captivating experiences on any Vietnam tour. The rest of the day is free for leisure, with an overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 9: Cu Chi Tunnels and Ho Chi Minh City Tour (B, L)
Pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh and transfer to visit Cu Chi Tunnels. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful landscapes and scenic views. Upon arrival, we’ll explore the tunnels, which reveal the underground life of the guerrilla fighters during the war. You’ll be amazed by the complex network of tunnels, including trap doors, living spaces, storage areas, weapon factories, field hospitals, kitchens, and the command center. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, the Ho Chi Minh City tour begins with a visit to the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Post Office, both outstanding examples of classical French colonial architecture. Next, you’ll be transferred to the Reunification Palace, one of the city’s most significant landmarks. On April 30, 1975, the American War officially ended when North Vietnamese tank number 843 crashed through the gates of what was then the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam. Formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes, the War Remnants Museum offers moving exhibits illustrating the tragic consequences of war. The courtyard outside showcases military remnants, including rusting jets, tanks, and cannons captured from the American forces.
Then, visit the lively Ben Thanh Market, a popular spot for tourists due to its central location. The market offers a wide range of goods, from imitation Nike shoes to exquisite silk ao dais, the traditional Vietnamese costume for women. Finally, your guide and driver will take you back to your hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 10: Ho Chi Minh – Ben Tre – Can Tho (B, L)
You will be picked up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and transferred to the Mekong Delta. Along the way to My Tho City, you’ll have the chance to enjoy the stunning landscapes and scenic views. Upon arrival, the tour begins with a boat ride along the river, where you’ll visit local homes, fruit orchards, and fishing villages. Next, experience a boat journey through a natural canal in Ben Tre, where you can enjoy seasonal fruits, honey tea, and traditional “Southern Vietnamese folk music,” followed by lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit a family-run business where you can taste delicious coconut candy and observe the tranquil rural lifestyle. Finally, your guide and driver will transfer you to your hotel in Can Tho, marking the end of the 10th day of the Vietnam-Cambodia tour. Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 11: Can Tho – Chau Doc (B, L)
In the morning, we’ll take a boat cruise to visit the Cai Rang floating market, known for its bustling boats and vibrant atmosphere—one of the highlights of any Vietnam tour. As you enjoy the stunning scenery, you’ll observe the daily life of the locals living along the Mekong canals. Later, we’ll stroll through a village to visit a rice husking mill and a rice noodle shop, offering a fascinating glimpse into the everyday life of people in the Mekong Delta. After the boat trip, we’ll drive to Chau Doc, with a stop to visit the Tra Su cajuput forest along the way. Upon arrival in Chau Doc, check in to your hotel and overnight stay in Chau Doc.
Day 12: Chau Doc – Phnom Penh (B, L)
Begin your journey with a four-and-a-half-hour boat ride up the river to Phnom Penh, an exotic stop on your Indochina tour. Once known as the “Pearl of Asia,” Phnom Penh’s glory was dimmed by the ravages of war and revolution. However, those days are behind, and the city has emerged from its tumultuous past to become one of the most vibrant capitals in the region. In the afternoon, you will visit the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda, the Raung Damrei Museum, the National Museum of Fine Arts, the Independence Monument, and the Central Market. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 13: Killing Field – Flight to Siem Reap (B, L)
After breakfast, we’ll visit the Killing Fields, where the serene green landscape of Cheung Ek hides the horrors that took place there. Located 17 km from Phnom Penh, Cheung Ek gained worldwide recognition through the film The Killing Fields. Today, a large memorial stands to honor the 17,000 victims who perished here during the Khmer Rouge regime under Pol Pot’s rule.
Next, we’ll take a short flight to Siem Reap, one of the most captivating stops on your Indochina tour, home to the awe-inspiring Temples of Angkor. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 14: Angkor Wat Tour (B, L)
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll begin our exploration of the Angkor Complex, starting with Angkor Thom, the vast fortified city covering 10 square kilometers. We’ll enter through the grand South Gate, crossing a causeway lined with statues of demons and gods, each holding a giant Naga. Our first stop will be the famous Bayon Temple, followed by visits to the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper Kings. We’ll then head to Ta Prohm, which was intentionally left in its state of ruin by French archaeologists to showcase the overwhelming power of nature.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit Angkor Wat, the largest and most awe-inspiring of all the temples, and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. We’ll conclude the day by enjoying the sunset from Phnom Bakheng. After the tour, we’ll return to town for an overnight stay in Siem Reap.
Day 15: Siem Reap Departure (B)
Enjoy some free time at your leisure to reflect on your unforgettable Indochina tour. Later, our private guide from Hanoi Travel Bug will escort you to the airport, extending our heartfelt thanks for choosing to travel with us. As on 01 st Jan, 2024 Double Vaccinated Covid Certificate is required to enter Vietnam. Vietnam has made it mandatory for all tourists and short term visitors to present a certificate.
If the tour cannot commence at all due to exceptional circumstances beyond the control of the operator
(such as Riots, War, Earthquake, Political Disturbances, Breakdown or dislocation of air / road services, pandemic, etc), a credit note will be issued for the amount received, after deducting 15% of the tour cost as retention charges.
The credit note can be utilized before 31 st December, 2024.
Shah holidays are tour and holiday organizers only. They do not control any airline, shipping company, coach operators or suppliers of any service or facilities. Therefore, shah holidays are not responsible for any lapse or defects in the services of such service providers.
No liability on the part of the organizers or their staff which may arise in any way in respect of tour shall exceed the total amount paid for the tour by the passenger. It shall in no case include any consequential loss or additional expense whatsoever.
Your payment will be processed to our International suppliers & concerned parties in accordance with the guidelines of RBI & the Government of India.

If the passengers cancel the tour due to personal reason then the cancellation charges mentioned in the itinerary as below shall be applicable.
