ITINERARY
Day1: Hanoi – Ha Giang ( L,D)
Hanoi – Ha Giang ( L,D)
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi at approximately 8:00 AM. The journey to Ha Giang takes you through Tuyen Quang, offering scenic views of lush tea plantations, majestic mountains, and ethnic minority villages along the way.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Tuyen Quang before continuing to Ha Giang, arriving in the late afternoon. If time allows, you’ll visit Ha Thanh and Thon Tha villages, where you can meet the friendly locals and immerse yourself in their culture.
Dinner will be served, and you’ll spend the night in a traditional Tay house.
A 5-7 km walk.


Day2: Trekking in Ha Giang ( B,L,D)
Today, your journey to uncover Vietnam’s best off-the-beaten-track destinations begins. Departing from the homestay in the morning, you’ll embark on a 6 to 8-hour trek to the village of Lung Vai. Along the way, immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes of terraced rice paddies, towering mountains, and tranquil palm forests. You’ll also have the chance to meet people from various ethnic groups, such as the Man and Dao communities, who are often delighted to chat and share a glimpse of their daily lives with travelers.
Pause amidst the serene natural surroundings for a picnic lunch before continuing to the remote village of Khuoi My. On this stretch of the trek, you’ll encounter many farmers tending their fields, and if time permits, you can join them for a hands-on farming experience.
The journey concludes with a visit to Ban Tha Village, where a driver will pick you up and take you to Nam Dam. Here, you’ll enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal and spend the night in a cozy homestay run by a Dzao family.

Day3: Quan Ba – Dong Van ( B,L,D)
After obtaining our permit from the immigration office in Ha Giang, we’ll set out on a journey to Dong Van, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and winding mountain passes. Along the way, you’ll stop for lunch in the charming mountain village of Tam Son.
Next, visit the majestic “King of the H’mong Palace,” a fortress built in the early 1900s by Vuong Chin Duc, a local chief who allied with the French forces against the Viet Minh. This remarkable palace, constructed in the style of Qing-era Chinese architecture, features solid stone blocks, wood, and terracotta tiles.
Afterward, continue to Dong Van, where you’ll have lunch before embarking on a 3.5-hour trek to the highest mountain in the region. From the summit, take in awe-inspiring panoramic views of the rugged landscape. During the trek, you’ll also visit villages of the H’mong, Lo Lo, and Giay ethnic groups, immersing yourself in the unique cultures of this untouched frontier region.
As the day comes to a close, you’ll return to Dong Van for dinner and spend the night in a comfortable hotel.

Day4: Dong Van – Meo Vac – Ha Giang ( B,L,D)
After breakfast, begin your day by exploring the historic Dong Van Old Quarter. From there, embark on a trek off the beaten path to Pu Lo Fortress, a site steeped in history, built in 1890 and abandoned in 1945. From the fortress, take in spectacular views of the surrounding region.
Continue your trek with an 8-kilometer climb to the top of Ma Pi Leng Pass, traversing a mesmerizing maze of limestone peaks, stone forests, and dramatic canyons. Descend into the picturesque valley of Meo Vac, soaking in the incredible landscapes along the way.
After completing the trek, you’ll be driven back to Ha Giang for a hearty dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel.

Day5: Ha Giang – Ha Noi ( B,L)
On the final day of the tour, we’ll take the road less traveled as we make our way back to Hanoi. This scenic route follows winding rivers as they meander through the rolling hills of Central-North Vietnam. Along the way, you’ll have the unique opportunity to interact with locals in areas rarely visited by foreigners, offering an authentic glimpse into their daily lives and culture.
Before reaching Hanoi, we’ll stop at Duong Lam Ancient Village, where you can explore centuries-old houses and immerse yourself in the village’s rich history.
After a stop for lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll drop you off at your hotel in Hanoi, marking the end of your journey.

For almost of our tours, once tour is confirmed and fully paid but for one reason they cancel the tour, the following charges will apply in the event of cancellation prior to tour commencement:
- More than 15 days before arrival: No charge
- 10-15 days before arrival: 10% of total tour price.
- 7-10 days before arrival: 50% of total tour price.
- 4-7 days before arrival: 75% of total tour price.
- Within 3 days before arrival: 100% tour price.
